Longwei Facilities

Longwei owns one ISO 9001:2000 certified, state-of-the-art fuel storage facility that includes 14 storage tanks with a total capacity of 50,000 metric tons (approximately 15 million gallons) at Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province.

Longwei has the largest storage facility for non-government owned companies for fuel storage in the province. This allows Longwei to buy in bulk at large discounts and also allows them to service and deliver fuel to large customers quickly and efficiently. The company's existing storage facilities with 50,000 metric tons of capacity provide it with a significant competitive advantage against other fuel oil distributors/wholesalers in Shanxi Province, most of whom do not have their own storage facilities.

Expansion to Gujiao

Longwei is planning the construction of a 70,000 metric ton capacity oil storage facility in the city of Gujiao in Shanxi Province, which will more than double their storage capacity to 120,000 metric tons. The new facility is strategically located in a fast-growing industrial zone, providing a prime marketplace for Longwei’s oil. Once completed, the facility will allow Longwei to service customers quickly and efficiently in Gujiao and surrounding areas, expanding their market in the province.

Gujiao, located west of Taiyuan City, is the energy center of coal, coke and electricity in Shanxi Province, and even in China. The construction of the Gujiao fuel depot has an important strategic meaning for Longwei.

The project has been approved by Shanxi Province Economic and Trade Committee and meets the regional development planning and national industrial policy requirements. Longwei hopes to complete the Gujiao oil depot in 2009.

Railway System

Longwei has its own rail system for the quick and efficient delivery of their fuel products. Usage of this rail system is exclusively Longwei's own, and Longwei has a license for Dangerous Chemical Products Business which allows the Company to transport gasoline and diesel oil products, another difficult-to-attain license.

One of the largest obstacles to operating a successful business in China is transporting goods–some areas are lacking in roads and railways. Longwei, with its proprietary rail system, is free to guarantee delivery of product to its customers.
